Due and more than due; delayed or unpaid. Bliss v. California Co-op Producers, Cal.App., 156 P.2d 259, 260.
The circumstance of an instrument that has not been paid despite arrival of the time for paying it, as by arrival of a date specified for payment or by acceleration or demand. A negotiable instrument or other evidence of debt is overdue when the day of its maturity is past and it remains unpaid. A vessel is said to be overdue when she has not reached her destination at the time when she might ordinarily have been expected to arrive
